We are looking for a Client Fund Analyst to join our dedicated Client Fund team based in Hereford. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance and payments expertise within a face paced fintech environment, supporting the accurate management of client funds and payment operations.

You will be part of a collaborative, professional, and highly detail-focused team that prides itself on accuracy, strong controls, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Client Fund Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments, performing financial reconciliations, supporting chargeback activity, and providing operational finance support across the business.

Within this role some of your key duties will include:

Manage payment submissions, ensuring data accuracy, timely processing, and correct settlement alignment.
Perform daily reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and produce accurate reports to maintain the integrity of client funds and scheme balances.
Provide first-line support and guidance for financial processing systems, investigating issues and helping to maintain efficient day-to-day operations.
Monitor fund movements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal controls, escalating risks and issues where appropriate.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing financial processes, assisting with testing activities, and helping to develop clear and effective procedural documentation.
Build effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners, supporting wider finance activities and business continuity requirements when needed.
Analyse financial data and operational trends, identifying discrepancies, risks, and opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control within Client Fund processes.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Essential

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Proven ability to prioritise workload, work independently, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
A positive and proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and problem solving.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate as part of a wider team.

Desirable

Knowledge of FCA CASS rules and/or payment scheme rules, including Bacs, Visa, and Mastercard.
Experience working within financial services, payments, e-money operations, or a regulated environment.
Experience analysing financial or operational data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Experience working with high-volume transactions, reconciliations, or payment processing.
