  • Support the annual external audit by providing information and responding to queries.
  • Ensure all sales ledger records and documentation are accurately maintained.
  • Prepare payroll information for review, including overtime, on-call payments, pension deductions and other payroll adjustments.
  • Lead, support and develop the Credit Control Team through coaching, regular one-to-one meetings and performance management.

  • Strong understanding of sales ledger processes, credit control activities, financial controls, and payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and payroll best practices.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, contributing positively to team culture and supporting others.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement, with the confidence to identify opportunities to enhance processes and controls.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience of accounting, finance, and payroll systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial and employee information with discretion and professionalism.

It would be beneficial if you also have:
