About The Role

We are now recruiting for a Payment Operations Specialist to join our Payment Operations team in our Hereford Head Office.

You will join a friendly, professional, and dedicated team, who work with accuracy and attention to detail, and who pride themselves on delivering the highest standards of Customer Service.

Reporting to the Payment Operations Team Leader you will be responsible for the administration of Visa and Mastercard chargebacks, transaction monitoring and end to end payment processing for the business.

Within this role some of your key duties will include:

  • Process payments promptly and accurately using established procedures.
  • Manage customer accounts, including updating payment information and resolving payment-related inquiries and disputes.
  • Reconcile daily transactions to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly recorded in accordance with the requirements of the FCA regulated e-money business. 
  • Responsible for Mastercard and Visa charge back handling, by investigating and resolving charge back disputes initiated by customers, merchants, or financial institutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any issues and improve workflows.
 

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • GCSE level or equivalent in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above essential.
  • Substantial experience in the financial services sector essential.
  • Evidence of working to deadlines and challenging environments, accuracy and attention to detail, as well as an organised and methodical approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, to both financial and non-financial people and adapting content and style to help understanding.
  • Positive and proactive approach to change and actively looking to improve processes and procedures. Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
