About The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join us and take on ownership for allpay’s full end to end bid process.  Within this role you will build brilliant relationships across the business to collaborate on submitting award winning bids.

In addition you will be in a truly unique position to build and set the strategy for the newly formed bid team, shaping the direction of the team moving forward.

There is also the potential for part time remote working within this role, which can be discussed as part of the recruitment process. 

Some of the key areas of responsibility within this role are:

  • Ensuring bids are optimised against evaluation criteria by managing, motivating, challenging and directing subject matter experts in the business effectively.
  • Understanding and communicating risks of each bid, liaising with teams across the business to ensure risks are understood/mitigated.
  • Proactively keep up to date with the competitive marketplace, working closely with market intelligence, sales and product to ensure competitive advantages and strategy are well understood and proposals are shaped around these areas.
  • Leading and motivating a small Bid team including a Bid Writer and Co-ordinator.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Demonstrable delivery of complex, high value Public Sector bids, preferably within the payments sector.
  • Proven management/leadership capabilities
  • Strong commercial acumen to understand the implications of pricing submissions.
  • The ability to build excellent working relationships across an array of stakeholders.
  • To be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • To be educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • APMP qualified to Practitioner level.
