About The Role

Our mission to make payments easier and deliver a digital first payments platform within the global payments infrastructure is now a reality for allpay.  Within the on-demand economy, our single platform for payments and card issuing is shaping how our clients and customers can disburse, collect, and receive funds instantly and with that comes increasing regulatory and compliance responsibility.

We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Head of Financial and Regulatory Governance. This role will sit as a key member of the Management Executive group providing overall operational leadership to the business. Governance is pivotal to all activity at allpay and within this role you will be the operational lead working directly with the Governance Director, accountable for the provision of an innovative governance function to meet the legal, compliance and regulatory requirements which support sound business decision making.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring high standards of governance and has the vision to take allpay to the next level of payments and banking capability.

As Head of Financial and Regulatory Governance you will be:

  • Leading multiple teams across our Financial Regulatory Compliance, Audit, Cyber Security, Information Security, Data Protection, Contracts and Legal departments and having the ability to pull all this together into our overarching Corporate Governance Strategy ensuring we are adding value, far above and beyond ensuring we are just compliant.
  • Having a business partner approach you will create and maintain great relationships across the Board, Exec Management level and all across the business, encouraging collaboration to drive the organisation forward.
  • Providing leadership and insight you will be able to interpret highly complex situations to all audiences and gain buy in to your proposed solutions. Creativity and thinking outside of standard solutions are vital to ensuring allpay’s future vision becomes a reality with compliance at its heart.

About You

Data, and the story around this, is going to be key to sharing the right information with the Board be this in a risk, regulatory, banking or data compliance capacity. You will be comfortable taking the lead with regulatory bodies and stepping in as cover for our Governance Director when they are away from the business.

Education is really important in this role and your knowledge and experience will support our Board and various committees to fulfil their statutory and regulatory duties in line with Companies House, Financial Conduct Authority, HMRC and the National Crime Agency requirements, to name but a few. You will represent and act as an advocate for the business in all forums and environments.

As a successful Head of Financial and Regulatory Governance you will:

  • Evidence your broad and extensive knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance requirements and legislation relating to governance within the banking sector and regulated payments industry.
  • Show your ability to be approved as a Responsible Individual.
  • Have proven extensive knowledge of Data Protection legislation and overseeing its appropriate application in terms of innovative service development and delivery.
  • Have leadership background, with the ability to build and motivate a high performing team.
  • Demonstrate highly effective levels of communication, collaboration and rapport building skills with the ability to explain technical and regulatory information to a wide audience.
  • Evidence your experience of recruiting, training and coaching future talent for Board and Committee members.
  • Demonstrate a high level of agility with the ability to work in an at times ambiguous yet fast paced environment to improve operational performance.
  • Have ability to make decisions that support and promote the whole business.
  • Have proven presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of audiences including the Board of Directors.
  • Have working knowledge of budget planning, financial management and resource allocation.
