About The Role

We have ambitious growth plans and as part of this we have a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager to work with Universities and Charities to build partnerships and seek out new opportunities for allpay.  We are looking for a truly consultative approach, fostering long term relationships though the sales process, including tender writing and submission.  

This role will be based from home and will see you travelling to your client base all across the country. 

Some of the other elements you will be leading/involved in are:

  • We want you to be able to look long term so developing a strategic partnership approach to sales is key, fostering long term relationships and engaging in a consultative manor.
  • Having a passion for the Fintech arena you will use extensive industry knowledge and proactively tack the sector, sharing this knowledge across the business and therefore ensuring optimised client outcomes.
  • You'll be regularly representing allpay so will be living and breathing our values, mission and vision externally whilst generating new business opportunities across the range of products. You'll be feeding into the growth plans for allpay so generating and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline is key.
  • Wherever a lead comes in from we need you to have the passion and drive to be moving it forward, be it from marketing efforts, Sales Support Executive prospecting calls, call lists, CRM database, referrals, the website, and other activities such as trade shows or industry events to target existing customers and prospects.
  • Working with the Bid/Business Development Executive, own the Tender process within your area, including supporting with the development of bid collateral, and ensure quality tenders are submitted.

About You

The ideal candidate will have/be: 

  • An excellent background in selling financial services (prepaid cards, reloadable cards, bill payment, money transfer, direct debit etc.).
  • The ability to see the long-term client focus with a 'hunter' mentality to prospecting.
  • A passion for payments/the Fintech arena.
  • A proven track record of delivering profitable new business growth and client retention showing excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of audiences including external partners and clients.
  • Able to assimilate market information quickly and understand its commercial implications.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, understanding the need to understand a broad array of company risk including (but not limited to) financial, contract, legal, operations.
