About The Role

allpay Limited are one of the fastest growing Fintech companies in the UK and are experts in the payment and financial services arena. We have also successfully diversified into a number of other sectors.

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Development Lead to join our Research and Development team.

Within this role you will:

  • Line Manage developers, at various skill levels, dealing with their sicknesses and absences but mainly focus on development in the role and their career.
  • Oversee several projects and be the Technical Lead for the teams ensuring they follow best practice and do not encounter any technical blockers.
  • Peer Review developer's code and advise of improvements, as necessary.
  • Work with the architecture team on the solution design of projects.
  • Be a contact point with other areas of the business and assist them with project requirements, technical discussions, auditing evidence & process improvements.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Be enthusiastic about coding in the Microsoft Stack.
  • Be diligent in ensuring the development team is working to best practice and impeccable standards.
  • Help others meet their full potential.
  • Be able to build relationships with wider allpay teams.
  • Have experience of working in a fast paced, demanding environment with changing priorities.
  • Be driven to succeed with the ability to contribute into the wider IT teams.
  • Enjoy learning new technologies and techniques, seeing how these can be implemented at allpay.
  • Ideally have a background in a financial services environment although this is not essential.
