About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Contracts Officer to join our Contracts Team. The role is based in our Hereford Head Office.

The Contracts Team is responsible for obtaining contracts from all clients of the company. This involve sourcing, collating, drafting, and sending the contractual documentation to clients making sure that signed contract is received.

You will join a friendly, professional, and dedicated team, who pride themselves on delivering the highest standards of customer service.

Reporting to Contracts & Commercial Support Manager, as Contracts Officer you will co-ordinate your own day-to-day workflow. You will be working with high level and complex financial and legal information to create accurate contractual documentation.

You will be working closely with various different departments such as Sales, Finance and Legal.

You will undertake a wide range of duties including drafting, issuing and obtaining fully executed contractual agreements. You will also be responsible for managing clients’ pricing in various financial database systems.

As Contract Officer, you will also be managing emails and phone calls from various departments and external parties, to respond to queries and to provide accurate information.

 

About You

As a primary client facing point of contact, the role demands professionalism and an aptitude for accuracy and precision in both, internal submissions and in communication with clients.

You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths as a minimum. You will be curious and keen to develop your knowledge or undertake further training within the legal area.

You will have a knowledge and understanding of the contract process and interpretation of contractual documents.

To be successful in this role, effective communication skills and tactful approach will be essential. You will have the ability to negotiate contractual requirements with clients and where appropriate, liaise with Legal Team to recommend suitable contractual change.

You will have excellent attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure, to work flexibly and to adapt to changing situations.

You will enjoy learning about the business and have a keen interest in all commercial aspects of how the Company operates.

You’ll have an excellent work ethic and work well as part of a team.
