About The Role

We are looking for a Head of Product Management to join our Product and Business Development teams. The role is based in our Hereford Head Office.

Your new role:

Reporting to Commercial and Marketing Director you will set the product portfolio strategy, drive the performance of existing products, and develop the company’s new and enhanced products in line with the company business strategy.

As a Head of Product Management, you will be responsible for improving the profitability and client satisfaction for all existing products.

You will lead a team of experienced subject matter experts, and will drive the opportunity to develop new and enhanced products.  You will have the experience, knowledge and ability to take products into new markets, and to grow the business in line with the strategy for potential revenues up to £100m.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering agreed revenue, cost, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for the products,
  • People management, including coaching, mentoring, and developing your team to achieve business objectives,
  • Managing the pricing policy for the company’s products and supporting with the management of the P&L within the business area,
  • Building business cases to support investment decisions for product enhancements and new product developments working closely with other departments,
  • Ensuring products comply with relevant regulations and laws,
  • Liaising with Sales and the Marketing teams to define and deliver promotional activity and marketing campaigns and measure their success,
  • Overseeing the delivery of product launches internally, describing the sales expectations, internal/client benefits, competitor landscape, operational support/implementation, and future developments,
  • Providing expert product knowledge during developments, presentations, and demonstrations.

About You

Could this be the ideal role for you?

As our ideal Head of Product Management, you will be educated to a degree level with an extensive proven background in product management and new product development.

You will have knowledge of product development methodologies and tools, including (but not limited to): Go to market Strategy, Product lifecycle, Aha! Roadmap software (desirable).

Strong commercial understanding and knowledge of financial and payments services will be essential. You will also have technical awareness of how products operate within the FinTech ecosystem.

Detailed knowledge of the regulatory landscape covering financial services and payments, familiarity with PSD2, PSRs and EMRs is a must to be successful.

You’ll possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and you will be able to build relationships and influence colleagues and external contacts at all level, including senior colleagues and board members.
